9 Ways to Reset Your Nervous System

Life can be stressful sometimes. Regulating our nervous system is so important to come back to yourself and your inner peace. Here are 9 ways to reset your body and mind:

1. Go For A 10 Minute Walk

Even just a brisk walk to get your body moving and blood flowing is shown to increase productivity and creativity!

2. Journal Your Emotions Out

The best way to feel your emotions and see them on paper.

3. Give Yourself Or A Loved One A Hug

Physical touch can be so calming and nourishing for your body.

4. Speak Kind Words To Yourself

Be nice to yourself and give yourself grace!

5. Breathwork/ Meditate

Inhale for 4 seconds. Hold for 7 seconds. Exhale for 8 seconds. Repeat as many times as necessary. YouTube has great free 10-minute meditations for beginners at any stage of life. Here is one of my favorites.

6. Eat Unprocessed Foods

Heal your body with whole foods. You will feel much better. Trust me.

7. Play With A Pet

Fluffy cuddles. Nothing like a pure serotonin boost.

8. Get Some Sunshine

If you live in an area with no sun, even just stepping outside and breathing in fresh air is beneficial!

9. Give Yourself The Rest And Sleep You Deserve

Allow your body to wind down and relax. You'll thank yourself later.
