Ladies, it’s time to say goodbye to makeup products filled with harsh chemicals that can lead to breakouts and skin irritation. It’s time to embrace clean, nourishing alternatives that enhance your beauty without compromising your skin health. In a world increasingly focused on health and wellness, the beauty industry is undergoing a significant transformation. More consumers are shifting towards products that do not harm their skin- and I am here for it!

A few weeks ago, I noticed my skin was breaking out, and I couldn’t figure out why. I washed my face every night, used the same skincare products as always, and maintained a healthy diet while drinking plenty of water. I spoke with a family friend who is a licensed aesthetician, and together we discovered that my new makeup products contained pore-clogging ingredients. After doing some research on makeup options, I came across some new clean products, here are some of my favorites!

Merit blush

This lightweight Merit blush is an all-time favorite of mine. Its creamy, stick formula effortlessly melts into my skin, making it easy to apply and blend. The product is vegan, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging. It’s also fragrance-free—important since fragrances can irritate the skin—and enriched with Vitamin E to nourish and condition. The best part? It’s a multi-use formula, so you can apply it to your lips as well for a cohesive and natural look.

Westman Atelier Face Trace Cream Contour Stick

If you are looking to elevate your contour game, this clean contour stick is a must-have. It glides on and blends so seamlessly that it looks like you’ve been blessed with natural, sculpted cheekbones. The formula is super creamy without feeling heavy, giving you that perfect, buildable contour that never looks harsh or cakey. Personally, I like to put some on my eyelids for an enhanced bronzed look. This contour is hydrating for your skin, and free of fragrance, silicones, and parabens.

Merit highlighting balm

This highlighter always gives me the best glow without harming my skin. I like to apply it under my eyebrows, the highest point of my cheekbones, above the cupid’s bow, and in the inner part of my eyes. The texture is so lightweight and hydrating, thanks to ingredients like squalane, that it feels like skincare and makeup had a baby. Plus, it's vegan, cruelty-free, and fragrance-free, so it's perfect for sensitive skin.
