MUUZ Approved Ideas To Your Summer Bucket List:

By: Tehila Sole

Reading a book on the beach

Every year, I find myself feeling like I need to make the most of my summer. I get so upset at myself for sitting and watching a movie, instead of going out with my friends or just getting out of the house at all. What I find has helped me to overcome these feelings is planning them out, and making a list of things I want to do each summer, to feel fulfilled, have a great time, but also make the most of the summer months. Here are 10 simple ideas for YOUR summer bucket list that will create memories to last a lifetime.

Have a Movie Marathon

Movie in Park

Choose a genre, series, or just make a list of movies you and your friends love, and plan a movie night around them! If the list is long you can plan multiple, and even make them fit a theme to add a little extra something!

Try New Restaurants

Pop up Bagels

If you and your friends are the foodie type, create a day where you can go around trying all the new foods and restaurants you’ve had on your list for a while! Doing a cookie crawl around New York is something I’ve had on my list for a while!

Arts and Crafts Night

Arts and Crafts

This idea can be interpreted in so many different ways, like a paint and sip, mood board and college night, going out to a painting class, or just staying home and journaling. Art is extremely relaxing and versatile.

Plan a Dinner Party for Your Friends

Dinner party

I’ve caught the bug for hosting dinner parties, and can’t wait to throw some fun themed parties for summer! It doesn’t need to be anything too extravagant, but as long as there’s some food, drinks, and good music,  people will have a good time.

Start a Summer Book Club

The Summer I Turned Pretty Book

I know my 2024 resolutions included reading more, so I made a groupchat with my friends to talk about books we’ve read, and give recommendations. It’s a great way to find your next beach read, and stay in touch with friends who are far away!

Trip to the Farmer's Market

Farmers Market

Your local farmer’s market is sure to have fresh food, and unique vendors. One of my favorites at every farmers market is the coffee!

Take a Weekend Trip

If you live near a coastal town, getting away for a weekend with some friends is a great way to break up the routine!

Have a Cookbook Night

Testing new recipes from a cookbook is a great activity for the summer, especially because you’ll be left with plenty of good food at the end!

Try a New Workout Class

If you’re the sporty/active type, trying new workout classes is a great way to keep your routine for summer, while still challenging yourself and trying new things. Who knows, you may just find something you love!

Become a Tourist in Your Own City

Travelling can be expensive and hard to coordinate with friends, but you don’t need to go somewhere new to have fun! Being a tourist in your own city is a great way to learn new things, try new places, and create new memories without going far away!
