No matter how much you love another season, it is without a doubt that there truly

is nothing like summer. No rushing to turn in an assignment at 11:59, no more worrying

about if your self tan got on your sheets, and certainly no worrying about if the UV will

reach 5 that day. These are our prime months: June, July, and August.

JUNE

Everything begins in June. Everyone is trickling in and starting their summer. As

soon as you finish school, start getting organized. Plan your trips, have a fun job lined up,

and ask yourself what you want to make a priority this summer. If you’re working a job,

MAKE IT FUN!! Get your lifeguard certification and work at a country club- and when

the money starts coming in, be strategic with how you want to spend it. Especially if it’s

the summer before freshman year of college.

Summer of ‘22, I cooked dinner every single night. It was the summer of recipe’s-

and I loved it so much I am making it my priority for Summer ‘25. I made pasta from

scratch and learned how to perfect my Cowboy Caviar recipe. Cook, bake, and learn what

YOU like to make. Learning how to fuel your body with what you prefer to eat is

exciting and once you get good at it, there is no going back.

Start discovering your creative outlets. What I mean by that is learning to put your

phone down, and having hobbies that bring out your creative mind. This could be as little

as drawing, or as large as starting your own business. As I mentioned above, one summer

all I did was cook- that was MY creative outlet. To this day I will cherish those momentslearning how to curate different recipes. My biggest piece of advice is to simply try everything. Become a health and wellness girl, create art, explore your surroundings, be

with new people, DO.IT.ALL.

JULY

July is the month of putting those plans into action, and following through with

everything you said you would in May. Money comes back- go on that girls trip out of

the country WORRY FREE! If you are wanting to save some money but still want to

have fun, host a social gathering for the 4th of July! Set up in your backyard, and have

everyone bring a dish. It doesn’t have to be complicated at all.

By now, you are looking three shades darker and your tan lines are apparent. A

key product in your skin care routine is sun care- do not neglect your skin to baking in the

sun all day. No matter how dark you are getting, find a sunscreen you like and stick to it.

Apply a generous amount to your face and body to prevent wrinkles. After a long day

outside, take an everything shower, and once your skin is dry apply unscented lotion all

over yourself. Your skin needs to be taken care of this summer.

Put those creative outlets into action. Think of something you have always wanted

to do and do it. Even if this is the summer you just start out and figure out what exactly it

is that you want to do. Discover your goals- Summer ‘25 is the summer we apply them.

AUGUST

Late summer. One of the very best months of the whole year. It's bittersweet. You

know that summer is coming to a close, yet there are many more moments yet to

experience. My only advice to live August to its full potential- soak in every single day.

Do whatever it is that you wanted to achieve this summer. Be with who you want to be

with and do not spend your time in the nostalgic state of missing what your summer

looked like at the beginning, and wishing you could restart it. Summers come and go, but

at the end of your lifetime, you will reflect on your youth and some summers will stand

out more than others. Make this summer be one of them, because you have the power to

do so!
