Where the girls are going for a spring spritz in New York

I don’t know about you, but the second it hits 70 degrees in New York, grabbing a drink outside becomes a part of my weekly routine.

Like… why would I sit indoors when I could be outside with a drink in my hand, people watching, pretending I live in a movie?

There’s just something about NYC in the spring and summer that makes everything feel better. The energy, the outfits, the long afternoons that turn into nights without you realizing. And naturally, that means one thing: finding the perfect place to sit, spritz, and yap!

So if you’re in your “I only want to sip outside” era right now, here are some of my go to spots.

Bar Pisellino

If you’ve ever walked through the West Village on a warm day, you already know Bar Pisellino.

It’s always packed with people standing outside with an espresso martini or spritz in hand. Sidewalk tables, a quick drink, and good company… what more could you ask for? And it has sort of a European feel that makes you forget you’re in New York for a second.

It’s the kind of place you stop at and then somehow don’t leave for a while. Cozy, buzzy, and always charming.

Le Dive

Le Dive has very Lower East Side Energy. Natural wine, small tables outside, people standing around with a glass in hand, and no one in a rush to leave. It’s not overly polished, which is exactly why it works.

They’re known for their wine selection, which is honestly the main draw, but the food holds its own too. Think simple, French-inspired small plates. Oysters, steak frites, little things you can share with your girls to get your night out started.

Sant Ambroeous

Sant Ambroeus is just a classic.

They’re known for their cappuccinos and Italian pastries during the day, but if you’re there later, an Aperol spritz or a glass of wine fits the vibe perfectly.

And we can’t forget about their princess cake. That is an absolute must-have. It’s definitely more on the “see and be seen” side, but sometimes that's the perfect vibe.

Fanelli Cafe

Fanelli feels like old New York in the best way.

It’s a little more casual, more laid-back, and the kind of place where you can sit outside for hours without feeling rushed. Nothing about it feels overdone, just casual and inviting.

They’re known for their classic pub-style food, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and a simple beer or cocktail is really all you need here.

It’s perfect if you want something that feels real, not overly curated, but still very much part of the city.

Joseph Leonard

Joseph Leonard just gets it right.

The outside seating is small but perfect, tucked into the West Village in a way that makes it feel cozy and intentional. It’s ideal for a glass of wine, catching up with a friend, or just sitting there and taking everything in.

They’re known for their seasonal menu and really good brunch, so whether you go for a coffee, a glass of wine, or something small to eat, everything feels thoughtful and well done.
