One of my friends once told me about her love for scrapbooking, but used the term “creative outlet” when referring to how much she loves this hobby of hers. Ever since that conversion, I thought about MY “creative outlets”. I was instantly drawn to the idea of exploring them, and having many. From then on, I have strived to curate some of the best, most interesting outlets to achieve a sense of self discovery, while also being chic.
What Is A Creative Outlet?
To make myself as clear as possible, these are a cooler way of saying hobbies- but can also be very niche. Do you like cooking? Great. Find a specific dish you like the most. Create a recipe book. Curate your very own recipes. Find a hobby inside of a hobby. Get interesting and get creative.
Just Start Somewhere
This summer, I am on my own mission of finding out what it is that makes me successful in my
creative outlets. I want to try it all. Here are a few ideas that you can try out yourself that are on my Summer 2025 Creative Outlets List:
1. Making pasta from scratch
2. Perfecting the perfect blowout
3. Curating fun snack plates
4. Making housewarming gifts for my friends for the upcoming semester
5. Learning how to make different coffees from home6. Formulating fun outfits
7. Creating wall art
Grab A Friend
Get someone to do all of these fun and exciting things with you, and take it on as a project
together! Summer goes by way too quickly- you might as well soak it all in with your best
friends.
Reflect
Once you have found a few outlets you love and enjoy, think about how they might have
benefited you. Maybe you stayed off your phone during the day because of it, or you grew closer with a friend or family member because you took on a project together. Whatever the case is, I hope that whatever you choose to do you love what you’re doing. These creative outlets are supposed to open your eyes to love the life you live, and experience all there is around you. Find the joy in the small moments, and start somewhere.
