As summer rolls around and Mother’s Day is now a couple weeks behind us, it is time to turn

our attention towards the father figures we have in our lives. Every article, news outlet, and

restaurant is buzzing about Mother’s Day every year when it comes around, but Father’s Day

does not get the same treatment. There is a reason there are days for both parents and it is

time that everyone starts treating Father’s Day with the respect it deserves. This year there will be no half-assed gifts or excuses as here is a list of thoughtful gifts to give to your father figure this season.

Their Favorite Celebrities Book

Rule 1 of being a masterful gift giver is to show that you listen and care to the gift receiver, what does this mean for dads? Well it means that you listen whenever he babbles on about his favorite celebrity and all of the hardships they’ve faced. If your dad does not have a favorite celebrity you can substitute this out with a motivational book or a novel about any one of their niche interests.

Something Sports-Related for the Dads who Just Can’t Stop talking about Football

This idea is extremely versatile as we all know different dads like different teams and different players. They will enjoy anything from a custom mug with Juan Soto’s face on it to a vintage playbook from the Philadelphia Eagles. Use this as a broad category that can fit whatever you need it to to appease your dad. This can even be used without physical objects as if you have the money and the transportation you could even take your father out to watch the very sports team he loves so much.

Make it Custom

One thing about dads is that they are simple creatures, this means that most of the time as long as they get something from you, they will be happy. Another way to take your gift giving further is to customize whatever you get him. This could mean a beer glass with his initials on it, a painted cornhole set with the colors of the Los Angeles Lakers, or just simply a quality leather name tag to put on his suitcases for his work trips.

All in all, Mother’s Day is a day that all of us remember just because of the importance of the day. I wrote this article to inform the public that Father’s Day is just as important as Mother’s Day but does not get treated with the same respect and dedication it deserves.
