So you’ve finally decided to do the Greek girl summer but now you’re 37 tabs deep in island TikToks and can’t tell your Mykonos from your Milos. Been there. Greece has over 200 inhabited islands (chaotic) and honestly they all look like the dream. But each one has a totally different vibe.
Whether you're chasing boat days, boujee brunches or just want to lie horizontal with a frappe and no one talking to you this guide’s got you. We’ve broken down four of the most iconic islands what they’re really like and which one actually fits your holiday mood.
Mykonos: The Ultimate Boujee Party Holiday
We all know Mykonos. It’s the go-to for a luxury party escape. From Scorpios to Chanel, this place is full-on glam. Every influencer is living it up at Scorpios and posing by the blue dome. Some say it’s overrated, but honestly, it’s exactly what it promises to be. Totally overpriced, yes, but still absolutely stunning.
Our pick: Semeli Bar, Mykonos Little Venice.
Naxos: The Chill One
Naxos is super underrated. Think of it as the lowkey, relaxed version of Paros. The beaches are unreal and you get that classic Greek vibe without the crowds or chaos. It’s got a slower, more authentic feel. Perfect for a family trip, a couples getaway, or a girls holiday that doesn’t revolve around partying (for once).
Top beach club: Santana Beach Club & Restaurant, Naxos
Santorini: the Instagram star
Santorini is a postcard in real life. Every corner looks like it was made to be photographed. White cliffs, blue domes, infinity pools, and sunsets that shut down the internet. The beaches aren’t the best, but the views and hotels more than make up for it. The sunsets? Unreal. Nothing compares.
Top tip: Head to Castle of Oia, Agios Nikolaos Castle for the best photo ops!
Milos: the boat day
Milos is for exploring. It’s quiet, untouched, and best seen by boat. Secret caves, hidden beaches, no beach clubs in sight. It’s the towel-on-the-sand kind of place and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. Think day trips, snorkelling, cliff jumping with the girls, and seafood dinners in a little village by the sea. The dream.
Must see: Sarakiniko Beach aka the Moon Beach, Milos.
