For the past two weeks, tennis professionals have gathered in Indian Wells, California to play for the BNP Paribas Open Champion title. After the Challengers movie with Zendaya and the rise of WAG tennis content on social media, “tennis core” has become an aesthetic enjoyed on and off the court. Here are a few looks to inspire you to get out and play, or to grab a honey deuce and serve from the stands.
Game, Set, Match(ing)
As usual, the women of the tennis world showed up and showed out with not just their talents, but also their matching tennis outfits. Emma Navarro’s blush pink Fila set and Coco Gauff’s blue New Balance set are two of my favorite eye-catching staple fits from the tournament.

Effortless Elegance x Desert Heat
Various influencers in the stands channeled both tennis dresses and desert vibes, all while
adjusting for the wide range of California temperatures. Dairy Boy founder Paige Lorenze,
model Madi Teeuws, professional tennis coach Madison Appel, and Vogue contributor Morgan Riddle are pictured below (respectively) in their stand fits of choice. Riddle provides further sports fashion inspiration on her social media as she joins professional tennis player and boyfriend Taylor Fritz on tour. She is one of my favorite creators for the intersection of fashion and sporting events. Check out her article on the multi-million dollar player apparel brand deals at the Australian Open exclusively on the Vogue app.

Additional accessories our girls opted for include scrunchies, statement earrings, thin-framed sunglasses, bold belts, and Chanel bags.
California Chic

Kylie and Kendall Jenner also attended the tournament in classic California combos. Kylie opted for a bold red Celine blouse, partnered with black sunglasses and off-white trousers. Kendall opted for an elevated basics look: cropped tee and white jeans, accessorized with a Polo Ralph Lauren baseball cap, black sunglasses, and a Cartier watch. Tennis dresses, crop tops, and staple sunglasses seemed to be trends of the tournament. The
growing interest in fashion at sporting events leads brands to want to partner not only with
players but with notable spectators as well. Use these photos as outfit inspiration for all your
outdoor spring events, and who knowsー maybe your favorite designer will notice!
