Sets for the Summer Time

By: Shaylin Smith

Matching Set

Who doesn’t love a two piece set? Picking out an outfit is much easier when there is a matching top to that skirt or pants you want to wear. Whether you are going to lunch, the beach, dinner, a party, or on vacation, a matching set is the way to go. You automatically look more put together and effortlessly cool. I don’t know about you, but there have been millions of times that I find a pair of pants I want to wear, but then spend hours destroying my closet looking for a top that pairs well. Make your life easier and get these essential, cool-girl, matching sets for summer time.

Princess Polly Hills Halter Top x Top Model Jeans

This is one of my favorite sets on this list. This set can be worn for pretty much any occasion and white is the best summer time color. This set also comes in a blue denim if you prefer that! With some summer time jewelry, sneakers to dress it down or a pair of heels to dress it up, this is the perfect date night or day time fit.

Princess Polly Ginger Linen Blend Vest x Zenia Linen Blend Pants

Linen is essential for the summer, and vests are trending right now, so this is a perfect combination. I love the look of this set. The pieces are amazing together, but you could also wear them separately. The linen pants work with so many different tops and also are a great swimsuit cover up. And this vest would look adorable with a mini skirt.

I love the color yellow during the summer time, and this maxi skirt with the mesh, loose fit cami top is perfect. I can see this being worn to the beach, on vacation, or to a dinner with white baby heels. This set with a tan and some curls in your hair, you will look amazing.

Frankies Bikinis Marialla Knit Halter Top x Marialla Knit Mini Skort in Sea Stripe

This set is giving fashionable, girly, sailor and I am here for it. The knit material gives it such a summer feel but could also be dressed up or down and halter tops are back!!! I haven’t seen anything like this and it is definitely a hidden gem on the Frankies website.

Princess Polly Countryside Top Denim x Countryside Skort Blue Denim

For those of you who watch The Bachelor, I saw Jess Girod, from Zach’s season wearing this set and fell in love. I think this is so cute and you could wear this year round. With cowboy boots, knee high boots, sandals, or your sambas, this outfit is picture perfect and so versatile. And a bonus, the top is backless!!

Danielle Guizio Paloma Lace Top in Eyelet x Paloma Skirt in Cotton Eyelet

This set is on the pricier side, but I am obsessed with this and Danielle Guizio pieces are a great investment. The quality of their clothing is top tier and lasts forever. I love the look of a low rise midi skirt and the pattern and style of the top is so girly and summery. If you're looking for a midi skirt set for a special occasion, I would definitely go for this one.

Aritzia Cozy Fleece Perfect Hoodie x Cozy Fleece Mega Sweatpant In Heather Chrome

I have this set and literally live in it. I am pretty particular about my hoodies, and this one is not too heavy and is the perfect oversized fit. You need something to lounge in throughout the summer and this is durable, timeless, and so comfortable.

Dairy Boy Woodland Camo Crewneck x Woodland Camo Sweatpant

Dairy Boy set’s are hard to get a hold of, but if you keep track of their launches you can definitely get your hands on this set, and it is worth the wait. I love the camo because it is not the typical dark colored camo, it is more subtle and girly. This set looks like you tried when in reality you just threw on a comfy, oversized sweat set.

Favorite Bathing Suit/Cover Up Set Right Now :

red striped bikini

I am not one to splurge on my bikinis and cover ups, but sometimes Frankies is hard to resist. If I am splurging on one bikini, it is this one. I am obsessed with the pattern and the matching shorts are adorable, plus, you get the award for the cutest 4th of july bikini.
