10 Steps to Success in Everyday Life

We've all been there, have you ever felt stuck in a bubble wishing you can post that thing, go to that concert alone, but having that lingering thought in the back of your mind “what will she think of me?’’ 


Did you put on that outfit for you, or did you do it so you would feel validated by the people around you? It's time for a change, and it's hard, but it's the secret to success and the healthy way of living.


Start prioritizing yourself, and not caring what other people think of you!


Here are 10 ways to help guide you to this mindset:


1.  Know Yourself: Figure out your values, passions, and goals. When you're clear on who you are, opinions matter less. An idea for this is vision boards. Vision boards help "organize” your goals and thoughts inside your brain. They’re super easy and a fun girls-night DIY to make.



2.  Set Boundaries: Learn to say "no" to things that drain you or don't align with your priorities.



3.  Practice Self-Care: Take care of your physical and mental health. Exercise, eat well, meditate, or do whatever makes you feel good. It can be as simple as doing an at home move with nicole pilates class



4.  Challenge Negative Thoughts: When you catch yourself worrying about what others think, ask yourself if those thoughts are actually true. Most times it's all in your head, and your anxiety is trying to get to you.



5.  Focus on Your Circle: Surround yourself with people who support and uplift you.

6.  Celebrate Your Wins: Acknowledge your accomplishments, no matter how small.

Whether that's simply doing good on an exam or completing your goals, treat yourself out knowing your worth.


7.  Learn from Criticism: Use constructive criticism to grow, but don't take it personally.


8.  Embrace Imperfection: Nobody's perfect, so stop trying to be.


9.  Take Risks: Step outside your comfort zone and try new things. Go to that pop-up alone, go on a date with yourself to that fancy restaurant, post that TikTok! You got this!!


10. Forgive Yourself: We all make mistakes. Learn from them and move on.
