You’ve probably seen them by now: swinging off the side of a Goyard tote or clipped onto a slouchy vintage Louis. Tiny characters with wide eyes, colorful fur, and grins that toe the line between cute and creepy? Maybe it’s a Labubu. Probably a Labubu.
As the unofficial mascot of this trend, they’re everywhere–but that doesn’t mean yours has to look like theirs. The return of bag charms isn’t just about Labubus. It’s about play. It’s about making something that is already yours feel more like you.
For some, it’s about pulling the rarest one from a blind box. For others, it’s another way to signal they’re in on the current trends. But there’s an even more interesting route: letting your bag charm be just that–yours. A subtle extension of your sense of humor, your favorite animal, a nostalgic childhood memory turned accessory, a character you once found in a secondhand shop and never forgot that always reminds you of your trip, or simply any bag charm you find that resonates with you
Think about what tells a story for you, personally. That’s the MUUZ way, afterall.
You seriously don’t need the rarest charm or the trendiest plush. You don’t even need to buy anything new. It could literally be a ribbon from a gift you couldn’t throw away, something random you thrifted, or a toy you’ve had since you were a kid.
But if you’re looking for something new and want to stand out from the crowd, here are some fun little charms that aren’t necessarily everywhere yet even though they should be.
So, if your bag’s been feeling a little boring or flat lately, maybe all it needs is a little clip-on reminder of who you are and what you love. Don’t overthink it! It’s all about being a little whimsical and having fun, not blindly following a micro-trend!
