Let me tell you about the BEST summer trip I’ve ever had. This year, I decided to go solo

on an interrail adventure through Europe, and it was literally everything I ever wanted and

more. Not only did I get to explore some of the most amazing cities, but I also met SO

many incredible people along the way. If you're thinking about doing this alone, DO IT.

Here’s how my solo interrail trip went down, and why it’s definitely a trip you can take solo

too!

Absolutely, let's go all in! Here's a more action-packed version of the solo interrail

adventure, filled with all the things you have to do when you're young and ready to explore

like there's no tomorrow! We're talking endless walking, discovering cool spots, and

making the most out of every city. Let's goooo!

Need a travel backpack? Check out this one on Amazon to carry all your essentials in

style!

Day 1: Copenhagen - Let’s Get Lost in the City

First things first, Next House Copenhagen is where the fun begins. After dropping off your

stuff, you're ready to hit the streets! You’re going to walk around like a true explorer. Start

by checking out the super colorful Nyhavn, snap a picture with all the vibrant buildings(they’re perfect for IG!), and then head over to Amalienborg Palace to watch the changing of the guard. It's iconic.

Then, go for a stroll through Strøget, Copenhagen’s famous shopping street. Get lost in all

the quirky shops, or grab a Danish pastry from one of the bakeries. Keep walking, and

don't stop until your feet hurt because that's when the real adventure begins!

If you’re up for it, rent a bike (you know the drill, Copenhagen’s the city of bikes) and ride

around Frederiksberg Gardens. You can take a break at a cute café, or keep going to

Superkilen Park, where you'll find crazy cool urban art. Don’t forget to visit the Little

Mermaid statue. It’s touristy, but it’s a must-do for a reason!

Day 2: Copenhagen - Secret Spots

Wake up early (don’t worry, you can nap later) and walk to Christiania. This is

Copenhagen’s alternative neighborhood, and it’s packed with murals, unique cafés, and

funky street food. After that, head to Vesterbro for a total change of pace, it’s where the

locals hang out, and you'll find some amazing coffee shops.

Next, take a 30-minute walk or bike ride over to Tivoli Gardens (yes, the oldest

amusement park in the world). It's so cute, and you can ride the roller coasters, grab

churros, or just people-watch and read. After Tivoli, go to Kødbyen (The Meatpacking

District), it’s full of cool art, funky bars, and street art.

End the night with some epic vibes in Papiroen Street Food Market, where you can grab

some insanely good food and chill by the canal with your new friends.

Day 3: Train to Berlin - Let's Make Moves

Time to hop on a train to Berlin! The train ride is perfect for zoning out, listening to music,

and chatting with other travelers. When you arrive, check into Circus Hostel (trust me,you’re going to love the vibe here, it’s cozy, artsy, and welcoming). Once you’ve dropped

off your stuff, get out there and start exploring.

First stop: East Side Gallery. It’s an open-air gallery on the Berlin Wall, covered in

incredible murals. Then, walk over to Mitte, where you can visit the Brandenburg Gate,

Reichstag, and Holocaust Memorial, so worth it. After soaking all that in, head to

Kreuzberg for dinner. It's where Berlin’s alternative culture is at. Think cool bars, quirky

shops, and endless places to grab street food.

Keep your feet moving and take a walk through Tempelhofer Feld, an old airport turned

park. It’s one of the coolest spots to just walk around and hang out with other travelers.

Trust me, your feet will hurt but you'll love every second.

Day 4: Berlin - Explore Every Corner

Let’s start early. Today, we’re walking ALL day. First up: Mauerpark. This flea market is

epic for vintage shopping, plus, there’s karaoke in the park! Then, head to Hackescher

Markt, where you’ll find street art and hidden courtyards filled with cool cafes and shops.

Keep going to Prenzlauer Berg and discover hidden gems, quirky cafes, and local art

spots. You'll get lost, but that’s half the fun.

In the afternoon, grab a snack and walk over to the Berlin Cathedral, and if you’re feeling

adventurous, climb to the top for a view of the whole city. Afterward, hit Alexanderplatz for

more shopping and cool vibes.

Finish the day with an evening walk along the Spree River, passing cool buildings and

graffiti-covered walls. Then grab dinner and some drinks in Friedrichshain, this

neighborhood is THE place for a fun night out.

Day 5: Train to Amsterdam - Ready to Explore the Dutch Vibes

Early morning train to Amsterdam, we’re not slowing down now. Once you arrive, check

into Flying Pig Downtown, where the vibes are lit and you can meet a ton of travelers. The

city is a dream, so start by walking through Vondelpark. Trust me, it's the perfect spot for

a chill walk, plus it’s huge, so you'll get your steps in. Grab a coffee at one of the cafés and

people-watch for a bit.

After that, take a long walk around the Canals (because yes, they are just as beautiful in

person). Walk over to Anne Frank House for some history, then wander around Jordaan

for boutique shopping and hidden art galleries. You'll find yourself in awe of the cool vibes

this neighborhood gives off.

By night, hit up Leidseplein for the ultimate nightlife experience. From quirky bars to huge

clubs, you’ll be dancing until your feet can’t take it anymore. Don’t forget to stop at a

Dutch pancake place because it's a must!

Day 6: Amsterdam - The City Never Sleeps

Alright, you’re probably tired by now, but we’re not slowing down. Today, we’re hitting up

Museumplein, check out the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, then take a stroll to

Magere Brug (The Skinny Bridge) for some iconic shots.

Afterward, head to De Pijp for the Albert Cuyp Market, it’s super vibrant, and you'll find

everything from fresh food to quirky trinkets. For lunch, go to Foodhallen for amazing

street food, then burn it off by walking around the coolest neighborhoods.

Finish the day with a chill sunset at A'DAM Lookout, you can take the elevator to the top

and get the best view of Amsterdam. If you're still standing, go for a nighttime bike ride

through the city. Seriously, nothing beats the magic of Amsterdam at night.

Day 7: Brussels - The Last Hurrah

Arrive in Brussels and join a free walking tour to explore Grand Place, Manneken Pis, and

the charming city center. Afterward, stroll through Mont des Arts, enjoy the views, and visit

some cool cafes.

Head to Sablon for cute galleries and local vibes. In the evening, relax at Delirium Café with

a drink or wander to Flagey Square. After that it’s time to go to the airport to go to

Barcelona.

Day 8: Barcelona - The Finale

The final stop: Barcelona! Once you land, take a walk down Las Ramblas and El Born o

El Gòtic neighbourhood, visit the iconic Sagrada Familia, and finish with a sunset at

Bunkers del Carmel or at the Tibidabo, it’s the perfect spot to reflect on your epic trip.

Barcelona is full of energy, and the best part is that you can explore everything by walking

through the beautiful neighborhoods.

Trust me, every single moment of this trip was so worth the sore feet. I met people,

discovered new places, and experienced Europe like never before. So if you're thinking of

doing it solo, GO FOR IT. You won’t regret it!

Why Solo Travel is EVERYTHING:
