The 97th Academy Awards ceremony, known for iconic gold statues, extraordinary red carpet looks, and memorable celebrity interactions has a lesser-known tradition for its attendees. For the past 23 years, whether or not a nominee secures the win in their designated Oscars category, they have gone home with a “gift bag," far from your typical party favor.

The gift, valued at over $200,000, will be delivered to celebrities in luxury brand Nomatic

luggage and will contain over 60 items. Here is a first glimpse at what will be inside.

Home Renovation Certificates

After the devastation of the Los Angeles wildfires, many celebrities shared the damage caused to their homes, neighborhoods, and surrounding businesses. Various certificates for LA-based construction and disaster relief companies will be gifted, including home renovation projects for up to $50,000. Furthermore, recipients will obtain 10 one-year memberships to Bright Harbor, a disaster relief organization that offers insurance support, debris removal, and more. These will be donated to friends, family, or anyone in their community.

Maldives Resort Invitation

In addition to invitations to stay at luxury resorts in Spain and Sri Lanka, recipients are invited to JOALI Maldives, a trip valued at over $20,000.

Luxury Outfits and Pillows for Dogs

Yes, you read that correctly. We would never want our famous furry friends to feel left out! Cate Brown Studios will be providing their sustainably sourced luxury dog products.

In addition to these extravagant items, recipients will find luxury skincare products, cannabis

products, and even a subscription to AncestryDNA. The gift bags are curated by Lash Fary, founder of the marketing company Distinctive Assets. Fary works with many prestigious awards shows to help different brands expand their success in the entertainment industry. While the lavish gifts are fascinating, this year’s bag is truly special because of the resources it contains for disaster relief. According to Fary in an interview with CNBC, all methods of support are transferable, ensuring support for celebrity nominees or their fellow community members.
